Let’s make it happen

Fundraise your life changing adventure

  • Add photos and a description that clearly show what you are fundraising for, why you want to go, what you hope to get out of the programme and when you’ll be going. Remember some of these platforms take a % so it’s best to use this for your and your families broader social circle and the public, close family and friends it may be better to ask in person to avoid fees. https://www.backabuddy.co.za/

  • You may find you have many supporters willing to help you out once you share your hopes for your experience.

Make a list of family and family friends you may be able to approach.

Grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles, family friends..

  • Local businesses may be willing to give you something as a sponsorship, they’re more likely to say yes if you clearly offer something in return such as promotion and thanks on social media and a promise of photos of you on your course for them to share. Businesses you have a good relationship with as a client are a good idea but also try relevant businesses that sell outdoor adventure gear or big businesses that have a sponsorship fund.

  • You can buy something in bulk and sell at a profit to fundraise your programme, this is often easier than getting people to give you money for nothing. Try bulk chocolate bars off takealot or come up with your own idea.

  • Maybe you can walk dogs, babysit or do the gardening to earn towards your programme, you may be able to get paid a higher rate than usual since the profits are going to your clear goal.
